Understanding Types of Financial Aid

Financial aid can come from federal, state, school, and private sources to help you pay for college. Most financial aid funds are offered based on the financial information provided on your FAFSA.

To learn more about the different types of aid, check out the drop downs below. They contain a brief explanation of each option that could be offered in your financial aid package.

Grants

A grant is a form of financial aid that doesn’t have to be repaid (unless, for example, you withdraw from school and owe a refund).
