The Dual Credit Assistance Application has Closed

All Dual Credit funds for 2020/2021 have been exhausted and the Dual Credit Assistance Application has closed. The application will reopen in March of 2021 for Summer funds.

Financial Aid for Dual Credit Students

Beginning in the 2020/2021 school year, only students who meet the criteria of their school district will be eligible to apply for Dual Credit TPEG (Texas Public Education Grant) and scholarship funding.

The fall and spring semester award limit is $500 for eligible student enrolled in at least 3 credit hours (one class). The funds can be used to pay tuition, fees and required books in the BC bookstore only.

Funds are limited, and are available on a first-come/first-served basis.

Angleton ISD

Brazosport College has partnered with Angleton ISD to offer free dual credit courses. All courses on the student’s pathway will be eligible. No additional forms nor application required.

Brazosport ISD

Brazosport College has partnered with Brazosport ISD to offer 2 free dual credit courses per semester in fall and spring terms. Dual Credit Scholarships available for additional courses.

Columbia-Brazoria ISD

Brazosport College has partnered with Columbia-Brazoria ISD to offer 2 free dual credit courses per semester in fall and spring terms. Dual Credit Scholarships available for additional courses.

Sweeny ISD

BC has partnered with SISD to offer 2 free dual credit courses per semester in fall and spring terms. Dual Credit Scholarships available for additional courses.

Private School & Home School

Private School & Home School students are responsible for dual credit tuition and fees. Dual Credit Scholarships are available.

Apply for Aid

To get started, you'll need to meet with your dual credit counselor to register for a minimum of 3 college credit hours (one class). You can learn more about the Dual Credit Program and who your dual credit counselor is by visiting the dual credit page on the counseling and testing website.

If you are in 9th, 10th and 11th Grade:

Ninth, tenth and eleventh grade students should complete the BC Dual Credit Assistance Application, to receive consideration for funding for Dual Credit courses.

Ninth, tenth and eleventh grade students interested in dual credit courses should no longer complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

If you are in 12th Grade:

Students who are in the 12th grade and have intentions of going to college after high school graduation should complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) so they can be considered for financial aid. If you need assistance for Dual Credit, you should complete the Dual Credit Assistance Application.

We encourage you to submit your applications by the priority deadlines for the semester you plan on attending.

Priority Deadlines

Make sure to submit all financial aid requirements by the priority deadlines. If you complete your file after the priority deadline, we cannot guarantee your award will be processed in time to pay for classes, and you may need to make payment plan arrangements or pay in full.
