Welcome to Brazosport College! Home of the Brazosport Gators! The New Student Orientation Page is here to provide you with information regarding our orientations, programs, and support systems specifically for our new and returning students.

Our New Student Orientation and Programs is excited to announce that we have changed our process for New Student Orientation completion. We are happy to introduce New Student Orientation and Programs to our BC students. Beginning April 3, 2023, our orientation process will now consist of one part, only, utilizing the Comevo New Student Orientation Module at: https://www.brazosport.edu/onlineorientation. Students who are attending college for the first time or students with a time lapse in enrollment are required to complete the orientation. Students with a confirmed bachelor’s degree should contact our office for possible steps to receive credit for completing orientation at another institution. This module does not have another option and must be completed by all students as our Student Orientation process. Students should complete the entire set of modules, take and pass the quizzes with a 70% or higher, print the certificate for filing, and review our list of programs and activities scheduled for all BC students.

All first-time college students, returning students, and student participating in special programs who have not completed NSO should:

1. Log into www.brazosport.edu/onlineorientation, and enter your BC credentials and begin the modules. Please carefully follow the instructions, the course outline, complete the sixteen modules, quizzes, print your certificate, and complete the survey included.
2. Complete the New Student Orientation Module hosted online by Comevo. This is an independent module and should be completed in a quiet environment. New Student Orientation tracks each new student for module completion and will issue credit, on this portion, upon receiving notification that you have completed this course. If you do not score 70% or higher on our quizzes and final exam. You will need to retake the course for a passing grade of 70% or higher.
3. Maintain a copy of the completion certificate and keep your sign-in credentials in a safe place for referencing later.

Students who fail to complete the NSO Comevo session will have immediate holds placed on their accounts for incompletion of New Student Orientation. Holds placed on student accounts will be reviewed and removed bi-monthly, on Fridays, based upon our BC academic school calendar.

Our office will communicate through your Brazosport College email address. It is important to check your emails frequently to stay up to date with everything BC has to offer. Again, please contact the Office of Student Life with questions regarding holds and the registration process.
