Holiday Exam Registration Information

The college will be closed and re-open the following dates below. During this time if you register for a TSIA2 exam via Examity or Zoom you will not receive your test voucher to take the exam until the college re-opens. If you would like to test during the campus closure with Examity, you must register two days prior to the campus closure dates.

Important: New TSIA 2.0 Effective January 11, 2021

The THECB (Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board) has approved the release of the new TSI 2.0 effective January 11, 2021. All students testing January 11th and onward for the TSI exam will need to take the new version of the TSI exam.

The Assessment Center (E129A/E129D) is a Gun Free Zone.

Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with a concealed handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a concealed handgun.

Testing Center

Our Mission

In support of the college’s mission statement, the mission of the Testing Department is to promote and support student success by administering tests as needed for qualification, certification, and admission in a professional, secure environment and by providing information about available resources for study and review.

Measuring Achievement and Providing Options

Results from tests are used:

  1. to determine eligibility for certain college programs,
  2. for some certifications,
  3. for course placement and
  4. to meet requirements mandated by the state legislature.
Testing Center Policies
  • A valid photo ID is required for all testing.
  • All cell phones must be powered off and will be secured by testing personnel.
  • Children and guests are not permitted in the testing room.
  • No food or beverages are allowed in the testing room.
  • Only items designated by the instructor or testing company will be permitted in the room (pencils, calculator, etc.).
  • Students requiring special accommodations (i.e. time extensions, added materials, etc.) must have completed a Special Testing Accommodations Request Form provided by the Office of Disabilities.
  • Scores will be kept confidential and not released to anyone other than the examinee (unless a person has a written statement from the examinee to obtain examinee’s scores).
  • Examinee’s should not log off or lock computers after completing tests.
  • All scratch paper must be turned in to testing center staff for disposal.
  • The center is equipped with camera surveillance.
  • Only one student allowed in testing office while test proctor is reviewing the student’s scores.
  • Any person causing a disturbance in the testing area will be asked to leave.
  • Cheating will result in invalidation of test score and removal of examinee from test center.

Brazosport College is NOT responsible for theft, loss, or damage of any personal property during visit in our Assessment Center, please leave your personal belongings (purse, tablets, cell phone, backpacks, or any other electronic devices, etc.) in your vehicle or preferably at home.
