Mon Mar 23, 2020 at 03:18 PM
Welcome to the second first day of classes this semester! Brazosport College is dedicated to you completing this semester and earning everything you’ve worked so hard for up until this point. Here are today’s updates:
- Brazosport College’s 2020 May Commencement has been postponed. Once a new date is set, further details will be provided.
- Our BC culture will empower us to get through this crisis and emerge an even stronger and more vibrant College. A reminder that the BC Board of Regents met in special session on 3/16 to provide the needed authorization allowing the College to continue to pay our employees (including Student Assistants) and take necessary steps to alter our operations in a way that is safe for both students and employees.
- Student Assistants – Student Assistants will be paid for a minimum of 19 hours per week for anyone who was paid for the March pay cycle (pay date March 20) and is available for work. If assigned hours exceed 19 hours per week, they will be paid for all hours worked.

If you still have unanswered questions, please check out our COVID-19 FAQ page. If you cannot find the answers you’re looking for online, you can ask us a question at the bottom of the FAQ page, and someone from the College will get back with you as soon as possible.
