HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY (HSE) Orientation

This is a three (3) day required session that all HSE students must attend before registering for regular classes. Paperwork and pre-testing will be completed during these days. The student will only need to attend one (1) orientation session. These are grant classes and offered at no charge.

HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY (HSE)

High School Equivalency (HSE) Test Prep courses are free to Texas residents. You must be at least 19 years of age to register; however, 16 year olds may enroll with a signed court order and 17 and 18 year olds may enroll with a withdrawal form from the last school attended and a parent or guardian accompanying them at registration to sign the permission form. Attendance in one (1) orientation session is required. If oreintation is not completed for any reason, you will automatically be withdrawn from the course. ESL Classes

Come learn English and Civics in a supportive and fun adult learning environment. This course is designed to give adults with limited English language skills the opportunity to practice reading, writing, and speaking English while learning about our community, government, and culture. These are grant funded classes and offered at no charge.

Citizenship

The road to becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States can be a challenging and confusing process. Our knowledgeable and friendly instructors will assist immigrants in improving their English language skills, understanding residency and citizenship processes, and learning the rights and responsibilities of being citizens. Students will also study U.S. history and government facts to help them prepare for the naturalization interview. Space is limited. This class is grant funded and offered at no charge.
