About Summer STEM Camps
- For students who are 13 - 17 years of age
- Classes are Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- There is NO cost for students to participate in the Summer STEM Camps
In partnership with the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and the Nuclear Power Institute, this Summer STEM Camp is designed to unlock the wonders of science, technology, engineering and math for the next generation. Students will explore a variety of STEM topics and enriching activities geared towards individual growth and team learning, all while building essential life skills.
Please Note: Applications must be received by the application deadline in order to ensure t-shirts for each camp.

Life is Science: June 19 - 23, 2023 Registration Closed, Camp Full
Application Deadline: June 9
Life is Science Camp focuses on life sciences-the study of living organisms, including ecology, zoology, marine biology, and biology. Campers will learn how to make things glow in the dark and dissect a sheep’s brain. A possible field trip to Galveston on a research vessel in the Gulf of Mexico or visit a NOAA Sea Turtle facility.
Energy at Work • June 26 - 30, 2023 Registration Closed, Camp Full
Application Deadline: June 16
Energy at Work focuses on the petrochemical and oil and gas industries that are located in our backyard in Brazosport! Campers will use balloons in a production line, computer simulators that let you run the plant like a real engineer, and make marshmallow blow guns. Campers will also go on field trips to the Process Equipment Trainer at the College and take an exclusive tour inside the gates of a local petrochemical plant.
Science at Work • July 10 - 14, 2023 Registration Closed, Camp Full
Application Deadline: June 30
Science at Work allows Campers to explore a different field of science every day of the week: Environmental and Life Science, Chemistry and Physics, Astronomy and Geology and Biology and Health Science. Campers will make gloop volcanoes and look at their own DNA - really! Possible field trips include a local planetarium and aquarium. Campers will also learn about CPR , AED training, and earn a card from the American Heart Association.
Technology at Work • July 17 - 21, 2023 Registration Closed, Camp Full
Application Deadline: July 7
Technology at Work allows Campers to try their hand at welding, rigging, and crane operations using simulators that work just like the real thing. Possible field trips to construction sites and fabrication shops to see the role technology plays in the expansion projects going on in our community. Campers will meet professional welders, millwrights, and pipefitters and earn an OSHA 10-Hour Safety Card upon conclusion of this very hands-on camp.
