Career Pathway Courses

Career Pathways offers students the opportunity to acquire a combination of basic academic skills and industry-specific training at the same time with no or very little expense to the student.

Students can train for a career and complete their high school equivalency diploma or improve their English language skills at the same time.  If a student already has their high school diploma, they can also benefit from Career Pathways by improving their academic skills while receiving workforce preparation and training that leads to a career and employment opportunities in in-demand occupations.

Additional benefits to Career Pathways:

  • Support in selecting pathway or enrolling in college.
  • Adult Education provides financial assistance for tuition.
  • Students receive ongoing support throughout the program.
  • Increased career and/or employment potential.

Current Career Pathway Training Programs:

These are two-semester classes, level one college certificates.  Students complete college courses while improving their basic skills (including math, reading, writing, English, and TSI or GED preparation) at the same time.

  • Phlebotomy
  • Medical Assistant

New career pathways and certificate classes will be added as interest grows!
