The A.A. degree is the equivalent to the first two years at a university. Although at about half the cost, it’s a much more affordable way to start out. You’ll also be able to complete all your core curriculum requirements which transfer to any state university in Texas. Once you’re finished at BC, you’ll be prepared to transfer to a four-year university.
An A.S. degree is designed for students who are wanting to pursue a math or science oriented bachelor degree. Looking for a reason to choose BC? Not only do we offer the same quality education as a university, but you’ll also earn your degree at a price you can afford.
An Associate of Applied Science is a two-year degree plan designed for students wanting to jump into a high-skill, high-wage job immediately after graduation. Whether you’re looking to be an EMT responding to accident scenes or working in petrochemical facilities ensuring the plant is running efficiently and safe, we’re committed to preparing you for your future. In fact, our partnership programs between the college, surrounding communities and local industry ensure we're providing the best training using state-of-the-art equipment.
The bachelor’s degree is an upper-level degree that offers students an opportunity to continue their education beyond the associate’s level. A Bachelor of Applied Technology degree prepares you to enter an advanced position within a specialized career field. Bachelor’s degrees require about four years of study (including time spent earning the associate degree).
Certificates are specialized credit programs that train students in a specific field. For students who meet degree-seeking requirements, college credits earned through the certificate programs can be applied toward a related Associate of Science degree.
Business and Industry Credentials are non-credit programs that provide industry training which result in a workforce certificate. They are designed for quick entry into the workforce.
