I began teaching at Brazosport College in August 1989.  Originally, I primarily taught Principles of Accounting I and II.  In the last few years, I have primarily taught National, State and Local Government I and II.   Prior to teaching at BC, I taught seven years at Wharton County Junior College.  Before that I  worked two years as a contract/risk administrator for an oilfield service company.  Prior to that I worked approximately five years as a legal secretary.  I live in Missouri City with my husband, Roger, who just returned to the classroom after spending 25 years in industry.  He's currently teaching sixth-grade science at Fort Bend Baptist Academy.  We have two grown, married daughters--one lives in Missouri City, and the other lives outside Kansas City.  The Missouri City daughter has two sons and a daughter.  The Kansas City daughter has two sons.   I received a BBA from Texas A & I University and a MS from University of Houston main campus.  I have also completed additional undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting at Houston Baptist University and additional graduate courses in political science at Sam Houston University.
