We know many of our students are experiencing a great deal of uncertainty and stress as a result of the COVID-19 health crisis.

The CARES Act has provided Brazosport College with emergency funds to provide financial assistance to those students who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 Emergency Assistance is a one-time, non-traditional financial aid grant which will be provided to eligible BC students who have incurred expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19 (including but not limited to expenses such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, child care and transportation).

Who is eligible?

The following criteria need to be met to be eligible to apply for COVID-19 Emergency Assistance:

  • Be a Brazosport College student in good standing.
  • Meet all financial aid eligibility requirements as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
  • Meet all other criteria established by the U.S. Department of Education in the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA)

How do I apply?

Students will be notified via email of fund availability and invited to apply if eligible.

How will I know if I will be receiving COVID-19 Emergency Assistance?

Applications will be reviewed, and assistance will be granted on a first come, first serve basis. Students will be notified of a decision within 4-5 business days after they submit their application.
