Virtual Commencement 2020
Saturday, June 13, 2020 | 10 a.m.

Commencement is one of the most important events we hold each year, commemorating the dedication and hard work of each of our graduates. Unfortunately, due to the COVID19 pandemic, we were forced to postpone our in-person ceremonies.

We are excited to announce Brazosport College will hold a virtual commencement celebration on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.! All students earning degrees at the end of the Spring 2020 semester will be celebrated and featured during our virtual ceremony!

We will continue to keep our graduates and BC Community informed through this site as these plans are developed.

Information for Graduates

Brazosport College’s virtual commencements will be produced by VEGO Pictures. VEGO Pictures is a full-service digital production and marketing company from Los Angeles, CA with experience on American Idol, Coachella, The X Factor USA, Golden Globe Awards, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Ellen’s Game of Games and many more.

The ceremonies will include video messages from college and community leaders specifically for the Class of 2020, as well as a reading of graduates’ names.

Preparing for the Virtual Commencement

All graduates can participate regardless of if you previously signed up to participate in our May ceremony. Our goal is to make this a fun experience and allow everyone to join.

Below are important instructions to ensure your name and photo are included for recognition in the virtual ceremony. Deadline for submission is Friday, May 22, 2020. Unfortunately, we will not have the ability to extend this deadline.

Step 1: Take your Photos

Take out your camera or mobile phone and snap your best selfie, grab a friend and have a socially distant photo shoot, or submit any professional photos you might already have.

Step 2: Submit your Name, Photos, and Pronunciation

Please make sure your name is spelled correctly so we can properly match your name, BC ID number, photo, and degree. Please make sure that the photo or video is appropriate. Inappropriate photos or videos will be denied, and you will be asked to resubmit a photo or video.

To ensure the correct pronunciation of your name, we strongly encourage you to record your name as you would like it pronounced. Candidates unable to submit the commencement name pronunciation information will still have their names announced using the best judgement of the announcer.
