About the Brazosport Symphony Orchestra (BSO)

The Brazosport Symphony Orchestra returns to the Clarion for the 2022-2023 season.

The new season begins on October 1, 2022 with “A Texas Tribute,” a concert celebrating the history of Texas and the 50th Anniversary of the iconic “Texas Country Reporter." This concert features Texas-themed music, film scores, classical works and more through stories told by TCR hosts Bob and Kelli Phillips.

Next on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 4:00 p.m., BSO presents "Beethoven Symphony No. 6." This concert features Beethoven’s beloved Pastoral Symphony and other classical favorites. Join us as we celebrate BSO’s 40th birthday!

BSO kicks off the holiday season with "Christmas by Fireside," featuring heartwarming and uplifting holiday family favorites.

BSO's first concert in the new year is "Fiesta de la Musica!" on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 7:30 p.m.

The 2023 winners of the Whit Phillips Memorial Young Artist Competition are featured in a concert entitled "Superheroes."

BSO concludes the season with "Music for the Ages," on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. On this concert BSO is joined by the Brazosport Choirs and the inaugural public performance of the Brazosport Children’s Chorus, performing John Rutter’s Mass of the Children.
