‘Super Scientific Circus” show to blend science and entertainment
The Clarion at Brazosport College is bringing a show to Lake Jackson that will provide educational fun for kids of all ages.
“Super Scientific Circus” will appear at the Clarion on Monday, Nov. 12. The show, which is sponsored by Olin, will have two performances, the first at 9 a.m., followed by another at 1 p.m.
The “Super Scientific Circus,” which stars Mr. Fish and Trent the Mime, proves that science can be both fun and funny.
Alternately assisted and foiled by the comedy antics of Trent the Mime, Mr. Fish uses amazing circus skills, involving boomerangs, bubbles, beach balls, bull whips and magic to introduce the principles of friction, inertia, centripetal force, aerodynamics, sonic booms, air pressure and ultraviolet light.
“Super Scientific Circus” has performed in venues around the world, including the Taipei National Theatre, the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, the University of Hawaii, the Civic Arts Plaza in California, the North Shore Music Theatre in Massachusetts and the Hong Kong International Children’s Festival, among many others.
“Super Scientific Circus” is part of the Clarion’s educational outreach program and several Brazosport Independent School District fifth-graders, including students from Clute Intermediate, Lanier Middle School, Rasco Middle School and Stephen F. Austin, will be in attendance.
Tickets for the “Super Scientific Circus” show are available to the public for $10 and can be purchased online atwww.brazosport.edu/clarion or by contacting the Clarion Box Office at (979) 230-3156.
