LAKE JACKSON — Brazosport College is providing a unique opportunity for 14-year-old girls with an interest in having fun while boosting their knowledge in STEM — Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

BC is inviting the area’s 14-year-old girls to participate in its “Go Girls!” STEM Camp from June 20 through 24. The exclusive, one-week camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday.

All campers must be 14 years old before June 20, as well as eighth graders moving to ninth grade. Enrollment is limited to a total of 20 campers.

Better yet, the week-long program is funded by a grant from the Texas Workforce Commission and is free for participants. Lunch will be provided daily and participants will receive a T-shirt.

For Brazosport ISD students, free transportation is also provided from your home campus to Brazosport College.

Most importantly, however, the camp is designed to not only be educational, but also a lot of fun. The camp will include hands-on activities, interesting experiments, field trips and more, all led by exceptional teachers from area school districts.
