Imagination takes center state when AndyRoo visits the Clarion
Brazosport College’s Summer Children’s Series kicks into high gear on Wednesday, July 10, as Andrew Karnavas, a.k.a. AndyRoo, takes kids on a musical journey they won’t soon forget.
Performing at 10 a.m. at The Clarion at Brazosport College, AndyRoo will take kids on a trip to the AndyRooniverse — a magical town created by the ever-expanding landscape of children’s imaginations. While in the AndyRooniverse, kids will encounter swinging monkeys, a friendly platypus, Silly Sal the salamander and a big balloon that will whisk children away to a whole universe of exciting animated characters.
AndyRoo and the AndyRooniverse is a children’s music project created by Karnavas. A producer, singer and songwriter, Karnavas is a featured performer on Radio Disney AM 1590. He has delighted kids of all ages at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, at the PBS Kids show at SXSW and at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo with Radio Disney on the Kids Country Stage.
AndyRoo’s debut children’s album, “Welcome to the AndyRooniverse,” was recorded in part at the top-ranked children’s museum in the United States, the Children’s Museum of Houston.
After Andyroo’s July 10 performance, only two more shows will remain in this year’s Summer Children’s Series. Next up will be the AD Players’ performance of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” on July 17 and Soul Street on July 24.
For more information about these events and tickets for the Summer Children’s Matinees, visit the Clarion’s website at brazosport.edu/clarion or by calling (979) 230.3156.
