BC police lieutenant leads discussion during crime prevention month

Brazosport College Police Department Lieutenant Chad Leveritt gives a presentation on crime prevention and safety tips recently at the BC Library. The presentation was part of a month-long focus on crime prevention at Brazosport College. Other activities have included a meet and greet with the BC Police Department and a presentation on Citizen Response to Active Attack Training. Upcoming activities during Crime Prevention Month include a presentation and discussion on domestic and dating violence at 12 p.m. on Oct. 18 in Gator Hall and a DWI/DUI Simulator to show the effects of alcohol and various drugs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the College’s Blue Parking Lot. The crime prevention events are part of the BC Discovery Series, which is sponsored by the BC Library and Department of Student Life. Next up in the series is a Native American Heritage session on Nov. 13.
