Tue Feb 11, 2020

The Brazosport College Library and Office of Student Life are set for a new semester of interesting and helpful events for BC students throughout the spring semester.

The BC Discovery Series will engage the College community in various educational and informational topics with faculty members and guests.

Three BC Discovery Series events are planned for the spring semester, beginning with a free Lunch-n-Learn presentation with BC professor Lonnie Mathews titled, “Does Your Credit Score Really Matter?” at 12:30 p.m. at the BC Library. The session will cover accessing, understanding and correcting your credit.

The series continues on March 5 with a “Celebrating Texas Girls in STEM” event. The discussion will feature a panel of Olin employees, who will discuss careers in the petrochemical industry. Lunch will be served to the first 200 people who register at tinyurl.com/bc-stem-lunch. This event will begin at noon in Gator Hall.

Finally, this year’s Discovery Series comes to a close on April 21, as BC professor Hollis Knode shares prisoners-of-war stories within our community during a free Lunch-n-Learn titled, “German POWs in Brazoria County During WWII.” The event starts at 12:30 p.m. in the BC Library.
