Popular Houston-based street dance group Soul Street is returning to Lake Jackson for The Clarion at Brazosport College’s Summer Children’s Series on Wednesday, June 30. The performance will begin at 10 a.m. and tickets are $5.

Soul Street’s technical and artistic skills, stage presence and wit allow them to push the performance envelope to an amazing standard of excellence, which can be witnessed during every performance.

They fly through the air with the greatest of ease. They dance en pointe while semi-crouched in high-top sneakers. These energetic performers demonstrate their varied styles and discuss the distinctive features and origins of each dance. From Brazil’s Capoiera to New York’s Break Dance and the multi-component form of hip-hop, the audience will learn first hand how these styles developed and evolved.

Soul Street has performed numerous times as part of the Clarion's Summer Series and their show continues to be a fan favorite. Soul Street is the second of four events in this season’s Summer Series. Other upcoming performances include Tom’s Fun Band on July 7 and Andyroo and the Andyrooniverse on July 14. All events are $5 per person.
