After a month of events that have included everything from informative and interesting discussions to cooking demonstrations, Brazosport College is closing Hispanic Heritage Month with its biggest event yet.

The community is invited to Brazosport College’s Hispanic Heritage Month closing event on Thursday, Oct. 14, which features a drive-in movie showing of the film, “In the Heights.” The closing event begins at 6:30 p.m. on the campus’ Orange Lot. The movie begins at sundown.

Food trucks will be on site and food tickets will be provided to BC students.

“In the Heights” is an American musical drama directed by Jon. M. Chu and is based on the Tony Award-winning stage musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegria Hudes. The story centers around different characters living in Manhattan’s Washington Heights neighborhood in which every member of the community pursues their dreams for a better life.
