BC’s Here to Health program is a strong start to a healthy lifestyle
Fewer students might be on the Brazosport College campus this semester, but the College’s Here to Health Program is as busy as ever.
With an active presence on Zoom and Facebook, Here to Health is offering an abundance of online health and wellness events throughout the Fall 2020 semester.
These events, which are focused on improving one’s mental and physical well-being, can assist in leading a positive and healthy lifestyle. Staying active can be even more important during a pandemic.
“Navigating academics and other life responsibilities against this pandemic landscape is a challenge we have all been pressed to overcome,” said Tina Williams, BC Health and Wellness Specialist. “In the not-so-distant past, increased screen time was shown to be connected to a higher perceived stress and broken sleep. Now, virtual connections are a professional, spiritual, social and academic lifeline.
“Staying healthy is as much about maintaining healthy relationships with others, as it is personal exercise, food and nutrition habits,” Williams added. “We are excited to invade and flood screen time experiences with positive connections and participation opportunities for BC and our local community to focus on finishing 2020 better. Join in and bring a friend.”
The calendar below lists Brazosport College’s Here to Health events for the Fall semester.
