Brazosport College Theatre’s newest production, “The Thanksgiving Play,” will open to the community on Nov. 18. The show will run for three nights — Thursday, Nov. 18 through Saturday, Nov. 20 — with all performances beginning at 8 p.m.

The play will be performed at the Theatre in the Glen on the Brazosport College campus.

Written by Larissa FastHorse, “The Thanksgiving Play” is a wickedly funny satire about good intentions that collide with absurd assumptions, as a troupe of teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month. It doesn’t go well.

“The Thanksgiving Play” is a contemporary, hilarious and biting comedy about the treatment of Thanksgiving by a Native American playwright.

Cast members include Jay Adcock, MaKayla Dunn, Carrie Baker and Austin Nachtegale.

Although the play is being offered for no cost, tickets are required and can be purchased through a link at Brazosport.edu/theatre.
