BC’s Youth Enrichment Program to offer kids some creative fun

Does your child like catching lightning bugs? Do they enjoy admiring suncatchers or the beauty of dreamcatchers? If so, Brazosport College’s Youth Enrichment Program’s “Catch Some Love” workshop is a perfect opportunity for a morning of creative fun.

Two classes will be hosted, beginning with a session for 9- to 12-year-olds on Saturday, Feb. 4. The course will run for three hours, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. A second class, for ages 6 to 8, will be held at the same time, one week later, on Feb. 11.

Highlighting the course will be the making of suncatchers and dreamcatchers. Young students will also have an opportunity to create a lovebug out of a light bulb.

The class is $33 per student and is a drop-off-only event. To attend the class, a parent or legal guardian will be required to sign their child in and out.

The Brazosport College Youth Enrichment Program is part of the College’s Community Education department and was created to provide children of the community with classes that are both fun and educational.
