Brazosport College was recently recognized as one of the nation’s top community colleges for the mid-career earnings of its graduates by the data analysis website, Stacker.

The list was featured in an article titled “Community Colleges whose graduates earn the most money” on Stacker’s website. The rankings were compiled using 2020 data from PayScale, with Brazosport College listed at No. 28 in the nation and No. 2 in Texas. Colleges were ranked by mid-career pay.

The article highlighted Brazosport College’s expanding campus facilities and course offerings, as well as its specialized facilities that provide hands-on learning for programs in technology, welding and science.

Stacker also made particular note of the affordability of community college.

“Even in states without free or discounted education programs, community colleges cost a small fraction of what a perspective student could end up spending on a four-year degree, making them the most viable financial option for many,” Stacker stated in an excerpt from its story.

The article also went on to mention that “considering time spent, financial cost and earning potential, community colleges often provide programs that are on the forefront of career development.”
