HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY (HSE)

(FORMERLY GED®)

High School Equivalency (HSE) Test Prep courses are free to Texas residents. You must be at least 19 years of age to register; however, 16 year olds may enroll with a signed court order and 17 and 18 year olds may enroll with a withdrawal form from the last school attended and a parent or guardian accompanying them at registration to sign the permission form. Attendance in the first two class meetings is mandatory to complete pre-testing. If either class is missed, for any reason, you will automatically be withdrawn from the course. ESL/Citizenship Orientation

This is a required session that all ESL/Citizenship students must attend before registering for regular classes. Paperwork and pre-testing will be completed during this session. The student will only need to attend one (1) orientation session. These are grant classes and offered at no charge.

Citizenship

This class is for students who are preparing to become citizens of the United States of America. The class has two parts and includes citizenship on Monday night and ESL on Wednesday night. Space is limited.
