Continuing its tradition of showcasing talented artists and musicians, The Clarion at Brazosport College is pleased to feature singer-songwriter and educator Juan L. Sanchez on November 22.
Sanchez’s group, the Juan L. Sanchez Ensemble, will take the Clarion stage at 7:30 p.m.
Born in Spain, Sanchez has thrilled audiences with his passionate voice, expressive guitar playing and charismatic performances. His voice has been described as “captivating,” vibrant,” deeply-moving,” and “inspirational,” while his guitar playing has been deemed “eloquent” and “crisp.”
Time after time, Sanchez manages to engage his audiences through the use of poetry, humor and autobiographical stories that are both gripping and universal in scope.
With the Juan L. Sanchez Ensemble, Sanchez joins an exceptional and eclectic group of musicians well versed in Jazz, Middle-Eastern and Latin music from the Monterey Bay region.
Sanchez is also known as a talented children’s performer and an educator. He serves as a lecturer at the Service Learning and Music and Performing Arts Institutes at CSU Monterey Bay.
Sanchez’s goal is to provide heartfelt, high-quality artistic performances that may foster tolerance and raise consciousness, promoting “music without borders for a world without borders.”
