Texas Army National Guard Band set for patriotic concert on July 3
The 36th Infantry Division Band of the Texas Army National Guard will be performing a patriotic concert at 7:30 p.m. on July 3 at The Clarion at Brazosport College.
The 36th Infantry Division Band is based in Austin and is not only a talented group of musicians, but also a group of highly trained soldiers. The Guardsmen in the band receive the same rigorous military training exercises as other infantry soldiers in the Texas National Guard. In 2010, the 36th Infantry Division Band was deployed in support of Operation New Dawn in Iraq.
Admission to the concert is free, however tickets are required. Advance tickets are available in TheSource Weekly, The Facts, B&H Music, Java Hut at Brazosport College and The Clarion Box Office. Tickets will also be available at the door.
Also, organizers are planning to display a photo montage of military personnel from the Brazosport area currently on active duty during the concert. To have someone included in the photo montage, please email their photos to firstname.lastname@example.org and include their names, ranks, units and locations.
The concert will conclude two days of patriotic performances, as the Texas Army National Guard 36th Infantry Division Jazz Band will perform with the Brazosport College Summer Jazz Band on July 2, also at 7:30 p.m. at The Clarion.
