Talented a cappella ensemble VoicePlay to close Clarion season
The Clarion at Brazosport College’s 2016-17 Performance Season closes on March 31 with an incredible performance from the internationally acclaimed a cappella group, VoicePlay.
Taking the Clarion stage at 7:30 p.m., VoicePlay is unlike any theatrical experience available today. The talented ensemble recreates the orchestrated sound of an entire musical production with nothing but the human voice.
The cast of VoicePlay has taken the timeless sound of vocal music and turned it completely on its head. Re-imagined as a full stage show, amazing, humorous and vertigo-inducing harmonies pepper VoicePlay’s music-without-music sound as it ping-pongs between eras and styles, channeling the breadth of the musical landscape and lacing it with inventive and often hilarious on-stage theatrics.
Fit for all ages, VoicePlay’s recordings and concerts are an impossible to miss and have to be heard to be believed. VoicePlay appeared on Season four of NBC’s “The Sing Off.”
The March 31 show is sponsored by Gordon & Nancy Wollam and Robyn & Danny Cochran. While in the Brazosport area, VoicePlay will be providing special educational outreach programs for selected local schools.
Tickets for the show are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors and Brazosport College employees, and $10 for students and children.
