The performers from the “From the Top” show at The Clarion at Brazosport College are recognized by the audience after the show on March 4.
Anyone who attended the National Public Radio’s live “From the Top” show last month at The Clarion at Brazosport College realizes the amount of youthful talent that was on hand. Now, you can hear it for yourself, even if you didn’t attend the show.
The “From the Top” performance that was recorded at the Clarion on March 4 will be airing on Houston Public Media at 6 p.m. this coming Sunday, April 24. The show will be aired on digital HD radio and online.
Among the March 4 performances were two Houston-area teen musicians, an 11-year-old pianist, Bryant Li, from Katy, and a 17-year-old trumpet player, Ayman Abouleish, from Houston. The show also featured a quartet from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University that performed a composition by 18-year-old composer, Aiyana Braun, from Philadephia, Penn.
“From the Top” can be listened to online at houstonpublicmedia.org and streamed through iHeartRadio and tunein.com, or on your local NPR classical music station.
