With spring registration quickly approaching, potential college students are being reminded that a meningococcal meningitis vaccination is required for all new students under the age of 21.
The required vaccination became a state law in 2012 and applies to all first-time freshmen, new transfer students and returning Brazosport College students who have experienced a break in BC enrollment of at least on fall or spring term.
Brazosport College will require students who are affected by this law to show proof of immunization before allowing them to register for classes. Spring registration at Brazosport College begins Nov. 4
Documentation showing that the student has received the immunization within the last five years must be provided at least 10 days prior to the first day of the semester.
