Klassical Kids concert slated for March 29

The concert will feature Brazosport-area contestants ages 8 to 18, who were chosen by audition of a showcase of top talent. The concert will consist of performances, interviews and sketches highlighting interesting or unusual non-musical talents of the selected students.
Students participating in the 2015 edition of Klassical Kids are:
Senior Mayur Aggarwal (violin); sophomores Allyson DeLuna (soprano) and Laren Nichols (marimba); twin freshmen Brianna and Brian Wang (piano); and eighth-grader Nathan Cloeter (french horn), all of Lake Jackson; freshmen Harper Moorefield (soprano) and Elena de Valcourt (piano) of Angleton and Brazoria, respectively.
Inspired by the syndicated National Public Radio program “From the Top,” hosted by Christopher O’Riley, Klassical Kids hosted is by Rodney Mason, Director of Choral and Keyboard Activities at Brazosport College. O’Riley will be making a return engagement to the Clarion, after his 2014 solo recital performance, in 2016 with a live taping of a “From the Top” program.
