Some of the selections to be performed include Duke Ellington’s classic from the Great American Songbook,
I’m Beginning to See the Light; Maynard Ferguson’s fiery Latin anthem, Coconut Champagne; Earth, Wind and Fire’s R&B hit Getaway; Miles Davis’ cool jazz rendition of Bye, Bye Blackbird; Thelonius Monk’s iconic bebop blues Straight No Chaserand Charles Mingus’ raucous gospel shout Better Get Hit in Your Soul.
