The Fluor Foundation recently made a gift of $30,000 to the Brazosport College Foundation to be used for welding scholarships, as well as development of the College’s Crafts Academy Training Facilities.
Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to junior/seniors that have completed the welding program at Brazosport High School and seek a basic certificate in welding from Brazosport College. Fluor is also donating $25,000 toward the College’s Crafts Academy Project Development, which will include a new welding lab.
In recognition of the gift, Fluor will be granted the naming rights for the conference room in the Freeport LNG Crafts Academy facility.
This is Fluor’s second gift to the Brazosport College Crafts Academy project and scholarship program. Fluor previously gave a $25,000 gift in 2014.
