Bill and Julia May Children’s Center students Skylar Leavitt, 4, and Aaron Hernandez, 2, recently donated books for the “Moore Books for Moore Kids” fundraiser. The “Moore Books” project is to help the Plaza Towers and Briarwood elementary schools, which were destroyed in the Moore, Oklahoma tornado on May, 20. The books collected will be donated to the two schools’ libraries, as well as the teachers’ classroom libraries. The Bill & Julia May Children’s Center, located on the campus of Brazosport College, is one of a number local schools accepting book donations. The public can drop off new or gently-used books for donation at the Bill & Julia May Children’s Center at Brazosport College before June 12.
