Campus Carols choir concert scheduled for Dec. 5

Brazosport College’s Department of Music/Choral Activities will present “Campus Carols, Sounds of the Season” at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the performance hall at The Clarion at Brazosport College.


Featured choruses will be the Lake Jackson Intermediate School Honor Choir and Treble Clefs, directed by David Hill, and the Brazosport Choral Union, which is comprised of the Brazosport College Chamber Choir, College Singers and the Brazosport Civic Chorus, directed by Rodney Mason.

Familiar and not-so-familiar selections from the holiday season will be performed, including “Sussex Carol,” “Tell all the World, Santa’s the Man,” “Angels Divine,” “Silent Night,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Grown-Up Christmas List,” “How Many Christmases,” “Deck the Hall,” “Jingle Bells” and more. A carol sing-along will cap the performance with audience participation.

Audience members are encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food items or money to benefit the Student Food Pantry at Brazosport College, which helps out current students in need. The performance is free and the community is welcome to share the holiday season with this musical gift to area residents
