Brazosport Choral Union to perform Oct. 24

The Choral Activities of Brazosport College Department of Music will present “Autumn Ambition” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 in the Performance Hall of the Clarion at Brazosport College.

Choirs performing include the Brazosport Choral Union, which is a combined choir made up of The Brazosport College Chamber Choir, Singers, and the Brazosport Civic Chorus. The special guest choir for the evening is the Brazosport Christian School fifth- and sixth-grade choir, directed by Angela Orr and accompanied by Kristen Henderson.

Selections to be performed include “Alleluia” by Manuel, “O Vos Omnes” by Pablo Casals, featuring a multi-media program, “Antiphonal Hosanna” by Leavitt, “Goliath” by Joseph Martin, “The Battle of Jericho” by Dickau, “Give Thanks and Praise” by Handel, as we as spirituals “Cross it For Yourself,” “Mary Wore Three Links of Chain,” “Same Train,” “Imagination” by Van Heusen, and “Short People” by Randy Newman as performed by The King’s Singers.
