BC’s spring semester Jumpstart program graduates 23

Brazosport College recently graduated 16 electricians from its community-training Jumpstart program. Electrical graduates include Lenora Bailey, Clifton Franklin, Russell Haney, Walter Hayes, Sarah Lynch, Briana Mickell, Kendron Miles, Omar Nieto, Yvette O’Connor, Joshua Palmer, Marcus Ramirez, Michael Rodriguez, Robert Russell, Jared Solis, Jorge Trevino and Johnny Vasquez.

Brazosport College recently graduated 23 students from its community-training Jumpstart program. The graduates include 16 electricians and seven pipefitters. Graduates include Lenora Bailey, Clifton Franklin, Russell Haney, Walter Hayes, Sarah Lynch, Briana Mickell, Kendron Miles, Omar Nieto, Yvette O’Connor, Joshua Palmer, Marcus Ramirez, Michael Rodriguez, Robert Russell, Jared Solis, Jorge Trevino, Johnny Vasquez. Julie Ainsworth, Jessica Buenrostro, Tradell Johnson, Roger Odom, Jeremy O’Malley, Jeremy Williams and Timothy Williams.

Brazosport College recently graduated seven pipefitters from its community-training Jumpstart program. Pipefitting graduates include Julie Ainsworth, Jessica Buenrostro, Tradell Johnson, Roger Odom, Jeremy O’Malley, Jeremy Williams and Timothy Williams.

Brazosport College recently graduated a new group of students from its community-training Jumpstart program, as 23 students completed the program with an emphasis on either pipefitting or electrical work.

During the spring semester Jumpstart graduated seven pipefitters and 16 electricians, with all graduates earning interviews with local industries.

Pipefitter graduates are Julie Ainsworth, Jessica Buenrostro, Tradell Johnson, Roger Odom, Jeremy O’Malley, Jeremy Williams and Timothy Williams.

Jumpstart is a nine-week training that provides skills to participants who want to be hired as entry-level pipefitters, millwrights and electricians with local industry. Hosted by Brazosport College, the training program is tuition free for students, with books, materials and tools provided. Students must pay for a background check and a hair follicle test, as well as meet other grant-determined requirements, before acceptance into the program.

The program is currently funded by a U.S. Department of Labor grant, a Texas Workforce Commission grant, a Workforce Investment act and an Accelerate Texas grant.
