BC Community Education introducing fantasy football class

Thu Aug 1, 2013

Every Sunday in the fall, millions of people gather around their televisions or make trips to local stadiums to follow their favorite football teams. While many in our area will be rooting for the Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys or another team, many will also be pulling for their own fantasy football team.

Millions of people participate in fantasy football leagues every season, and many would also admit that viewing a professional football game is enhanced by playing fantasy football.

Now, through Brazosport College’s Community Education department, one can learn the ins and outs of managing a fantasy football team with its new “Figuring Out Fantasy Football” class.

The class will introduce students to the popular game, starting from the basics and continuing throughout the season. Participants will be walked through the entire football season and will learn everything from draft strategies and mock drafts to trading players to updating one’s team each week.

The class, which is designed for teens and adults, begins on Saturday, August 10 and meets every other week throughout the football season. The cost for the course is $59.
