BC, Brazosport Regional Health System to hold conference

Brazosport Regional Health System and Brazosport College Community Education Center have partnered again for the 4th Annual Women’s Health Conference. Set for Wednesday, May 1st, the Women’s Health Conference provides a wide variety of health education and resources to local women.

The interactive conference will feature Keynote Speaker, Reneé Rongen, a nationally renowned motivational speaker, author, and humorist. Her presentation, FUNDAMENTALLY FEMALE™ identifies the universal substance of a woman. It’s a portal of what women want! A link to their world as it pertains to relationships, family, work, health and fashion. As an award winning entrepreneur and friend to many, Reneé Rongen has been dubbed as “the mother of motivation” and a combination of “Oprah, Lilli Tomlin, and Mother Teresa.”   

The conference remains unique with a variety of interesting health-related topics. It is dedicated to educating women to make informed decisions about their well-being and to become inspired to take charge of their health. This year’s breakout sessions included:

  • Wellness for Women – Presented by a Physician Panel

  • Hearing Health – Presented by Dr. Stephanie Herrera

  • Urology Health – Presented by Dr. Alisa Berger

  • Elements of Style – Presented by Connie Bowen

  • Getting to the Core of the Matter –  Presented by Lauren Bowles, PT

  • Who Cares for the Caregiver? – Presented by Beverly Bernzen, MSW, LCSW

  • The Naked Truth – Presented By Merie Abercrombie, CPT

  • Plastic Surgery for the Breast – Presented by Dr. Gary Horndeski

  • Alzheimer’s Going from “Oh, No!” to “I see…” – Presented by Jeanne Manry and Pat Williams

  • Botox for Women – Presented by Dr. Stephanie Herrera

  • Mediation – Annette Klein

  • A Day in the Life of a Young Child – Kara Gore


This year’s conference will offer an array of vendors that offers healthcare screenings, resources and a little pampering. The conference provides a day where women can step out of their busy lifestyles and focus on taking care of themselves for one day. It offers time to connect with local women and make new friends. Attendees leave the conference motivated and rejuvenated!
 
The registration fee of $20 includes a continental breakfast, sixteen breakout sessions throughout the day, lunch during the keynote address, and a variety of vendors. The Women’s Health Conference will be held at the Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College. The conference is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but allows attendees to come and go as they wish.
