ATX Jumpstart program to hold information sessions
For students in need of workforce training but lacking a high school diploma, Brazosport College’s Accelerate Texas (ATX) Jumpstart program is a perfect solution.
In response to the high demands for skilled workers, Brazosport College is offering a free 15-week program for individuals who lack a high school diploma or GED. The program is funded by an Accelerate Texas (ATX) grant and students completing the program are not only prepared to take their GED test, they also earn nine-college credit hours, a Occupational Skills Award from Brazosport College, an NCCER Core Curriculum and Blue Card, and an NCCER Level 1 Helper Certification in either pipefitting, electrical or millwright.
In order to assist potential applicants learn more about the program, three information sessions have been scheduled at Brazosport College to provide information and answer questions about the program. Information sessions are scheduled from 12 to 1 p.m. on Nov. 29, Dec. 6 and Dec. 13. The sessions will be in room B-110 at the College and RSVPs are not required to attend any of the information sessions.
These information sessions are the best way to not only learn about Jumpstart and its many benefits, but also an opportunity to ask any question about the program.
