Classes Still in Session

Classes are in session for Tuesday evening and Wednesday​. As a result of the storm, power is not reliable. Therefore, there will be no air conditioning due to possible power outages. Computer usage may also be interupted. Contact I.T. for help with technology issues.

Classes Are Not Cancelled

As of 4:30 p.m., classes are not cancelled due to inclimate weather. All Tuesday evening and Wednesday classes will continue as scheduled.

June 15
Campus closed on Tuesday, June 16

The National Weather Service is predicting that our area will be affected by severe weather caused by a tropical disturbance. Included in the prediction is rain up to 10 inches and wind gusts up to 50 MPH. Classes will be in session this evening, Monday, June 15, 2015. However, the College will close all regular operations for Tuesday, June 16, 2015. The Brazosport College Board of Regents will hold its regularly scheduled meeting this evening at 6:30 p.m. All classes and operations will commence on their regular schedules on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. The College is currently monitoring the weather conditions in the Gulf of Mexico. We will make a decision by 2 p.m., Monday, June 15 concerning whether or not Monday's evening classes will be held. Please check back here for the latest campus updates.

Disturbance in the Gulf

We are currently monitoring the weather. As of 11 a.m., Monday, June 15, Brazosport College will remain open during normal business hours, and all day and night classes are not cancelled. For the latest campus updates please check here or brazosport.edu/bcalert.

System Test
Brazosport College conducted a routine test of the BC Alert system today at approximately 9:00 a.m.

March 27
College delayed today until 10 a.m.
Due to a partial power outage on campus, classes will be delayed today until 10 a.m. All faculty and staff are also asked to report at 10 a.m.

Winter Weather Update

UPDATED 4:23 p.m.

Classes for this evening, January 27, will be held as scheduled. However, due to the potential severe weather conditions, the college will be closed all day Tuesday, January 28. All day and evening classes will be canceled tomorrow. The college will re-open for normal business hours on Wednesday, January 29.

As you may be aware, we are under another winter weather watch. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority and we will be monitoring the situation closely with national and local weather authorities.

Classes for this evening, January 27, will be held as scheduled. We will make an official update around 6 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, only in the event of a campus closure or delayed start time.

DRILL - Shelter In Place

Thank you for your participation in today’s shelter in place drill of the college emergency notification system, BCalert. This is only a drill. If this were a true emergency, you would need to shelter in place immediately and remain in place until given the all clear. To keep you better informed during any crisis, the college will use the campus P.A. system, text notifications, mobile app push notifications, and online updates to the BCalert blog, college website, twitter and Facebook. For information about the college emergencies please remember to visit brazosport.edu/BCalert.

With the water restored to all areas of campus, the Children's Center will open at 11 a.m.​
